[OUTFIT] 23112

It was my birthday on the 23rd! I am now 22. It has been quite emotional these past few days.

I don’t feel any different - but then again, why would I? I’m still the same person. Maybe with a few more worries but that’s normal!

I know I said I would update with my purchases - I WILL GET TO IT! Just quite busy at the moment, trying to sort out life. So much as changed since my last text post; bad changes, good changes - the usual.

Had dinner with Ed at Mizuya, on my actual birthday, since I had already celebrated with my friends the Friday before. Thank you to everyone who came to share this joyous occasion with me! I hope the fact that I was actually 22 (and not 21 as all my high school friends have thought) didn’t kill the mood. Now you guys know all about me. Haha.

Anyway, below is my outfit for 23rd!

Shirt - Dotti, maxi skirt - One Teaspooon, shoes - Glue, rings - middle ones from my workplace and the oversized green stone ring and pinky ring from Sportsgirl.

Terribly awkward smile.

Going to be updating with my purchases for the past two months.

It’s about time.

[FILM] Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

In a few words: Pleasantly surprised

Rating:

Before I begin my review, I must say I picked this film as it seemed to be the best choice out of the few that I considered watching. I am glad that I did watch this film. Even though I fell asleep in the first installment.

A Game of Shadows was portrayed quite well and the film is essentially, about the game between Moriarty and Holmes.

What I liked: Really enjoyed the action sequences and how the slow-motion used provided as an extended metaphor of the Holmesian deduction. Detail after detail for each and every action sequence really conveyed suspense and kept me on the edge of my seat. And the humour was excellent - or shall I say, elementary. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law were great. Loved everything about them. Gave me a refreshing outlook on both Holmes and Watson.

What I didn’t like: I just felt sorry for Stanley, Holmes’ really old butler. Mycroft/ Stephen Fry naked; though it was funny - just thought the film didn’t need it.

(1) White sleeveless shirt - Dotti
(2) Striped and slitted maxi skirt - Valley Girl
(3) Simple gladiator sandals with gold plating from Glue
Short story behind the skirt: it was 1/273904320948290830 chance that I found that skirt. While I was waiting for some people for a dinner, I walked into Valley Girl - as it was right across from the restaurant - and saw it. And bought it. Yeah. Along with three other skirts.
